The Senior Management Course (SMC) is a 16-week program, consisting of two terms, preceded by an Orientation & IT Week focusing on improving the computer literacy for operational digital working for the training assignments. The training activities focus on Modules to be conducted through Lecture Discussions (LDs), Workshops, Panel Discussions (PDs), Tutorial Discussions (TDs) and Seminars etc. The learning is further strengthened through the other individual and group assignments such as Current Issue Presentations (CIPs), Individual Research Papers (IRPs), Departmental Review Presentation (DRP), Service Group Presentation (SGP), Book Review (BR), Synopsis Writing, Simulation Exercises (SE), Local Study Visits (LSVs, LSV-I, II), National Study Tour (NST), etc. The group assignments are given special focus in this program, along with the individual assignments. In addition to these, sports and cultural activities are also part of the program. All these activities are assessed for individual achievement.
